Pool11: Verified Information

Home

What is Pool11?

Pool11 is a new concept in information reference.  Open reference sites like Wikipedia are great sources of information, but suffers from not having experts comb through the material to ensure factual veracity.  More than the occasional numeric error, Wikipedia's open edit policy means that the errors are often biased in motivated ways, which is worse than a random factual error.

Pool11 aims to correct this by taking reference information from open sites like Wikipedia, and having experts verify the information.  The verified articles are then placed on this site for reference, each with a version number.
